Meeting the challenges of the energy transition
Hong Kong two day international conference
The energy industry and indeed the society at large are facing rapid changes which in part are due to the transition of energy from a hydrocarbon based commodity to one which has diverse sources with increasing elements of sustainability. Furthermore, the ways in which we consume energy in our daily lives is changing rapidly with altering patterns of consumption which may no longer match the traditional concepts of supply. Indeed our whole economy is inevitably moving towards a circular, sustainable economy driven by our changing lifestyle. We intend to not only explore how the energy supply industry is changing, but also the changes in the way the society consumes energy and what we as energy professionals are doing to meet the challenges ahead. Regional, including cross-border and multi-disciplinary collaboration of the energy professionals are required to achieve this goal.
