Accreditation and Approvals Officer

We are looking to appoint an Accreditation and Approvals Officer to join our friendly team and work with universities and other institutions offering learning programmes in energy. You will be involved in helping institutions make applications for accreditation or approval, undertaking accreditation visits, working with panels, and supporting the accreditation process. You will also help to promote our services and ensure they are efficiently run and fit for purpose.

Salary: Circa £27,000 per annum, plus benefits

The Energy Institute (EI) is the professional membership body bringing global energy expertise together. We gather and share essential knowledge about energy, the skills that are helping us use it more wisely, and the good practice that keeps it safe and secure.

We articulate the voice of energy experts, taking the know-how of around 20,000 members from 120 countries to the heart of the public debate. And we’re an independent, not-for-profit, safe space for evidence-based collaboration, an honest broker between industry, academia and policy makers.

You will be involved in helping institutions make applications for accreditation or approval, undertaking accreditation visits, working with panels, and supporting the accreditation process. You will also help to promote our services and ensure they are efficiently run and fit for purpose.

The successful applicant will have experience of working in a professional body or auditing environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as meticulous attention to detail. You will enjoy working with others and building relationships. The post involves travel all over the UK and may involve some international travel.
