We are seeking a volunteer Honorary Treasurer to chair our Finance & Audit Committee and take a lead Trustee role in shaping the Energy Institute’s Financial Strategy. Our committees provide critical expertise, guidance, and governance in supporting delivery of the EI’s purpose and strategy. Volunteering can help you demonstrate personal commitment to your field of work, as well as demonstrating your professional expertise. We welcome interest from members with a strong financial background working in the energy sector. Our purpose and values are demonstrated in the About us section of our website.

The Council of the Energy Institute has delegated to the Finance and Audit Committee responsibility for regulating and monitoring all financial issues in the management and reporting of the Institute's activities and governance, effecting both internal and external accountability. The Honorary Treasurer will represent the committee and report to the Council.

The committee meets four times a year around March, May, September, and November. Council meets four times a year around April, July, October, and December.  A Council away day is usually arranged in October.
