Who we’re looking for: We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for HR looking to join the People and Culture team to support with supporting management and employees at the EI to be effective in their roles and provide the best service to our members. The right individual for this HR position will be passionate about people and ideally, will have previous HR related experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an eye for detail and can multitask.

What you’ll do:
The successful candidate with work alongside both the People, Learning & Development Advisor and Director of People, Culture and Governance to be responsible for the fundamental administration within the team extending to supporting recruitment, on-boarding, managing employee records and assisting with the administration of the Learning and Development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR database.
- Support the administration of employee benefits, payroll, and leave management.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, meetings, and training sessions.
- Assist in the preparation of HR documents, such as employment contracts and policies and ensure relevant policies are regularly reviewed and updated.
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide general HR support.
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law and EI policies.
- Work closely with the People, Learning & Development Advisor to look after employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Managing the administration of the HR inboxes
Experience
- Previous experience in an HR administrative position is preferred.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of HR software and databases is a plus (bob).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Desirable / person specification:
- Basic knowledge of HR practices
- Highly enthusiastic with excellent communication skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
- Good IT literacy/software
Salary: 28k pro rata per annum depending on experience, plus benefits
