Welcome to a new look for the Energy Institute

The Energy Institute’s primary website has been redesigned to improve your online experience and the way we communicate with you. Over the last year we have undertaken a conversation with our stakeholders, through creative workshops, user data analysis, research and testing.

As a result, we have designed a brand new primary website with improved functionality, content, and usability across the board. The website is mobile-friendly, easier to navigate and includes new features and content. It also aims to meet with the WCAG 2.0 Level A & AA standards for accessibility.

We are very happy with the results and we hope you like it.

What’s new?

Enhanced search

You can now search content across all EI websites (including knowledge.energyinst.org and publishing.energyinst.org) from the main search bar which also incorporates a predictive search facility with suggestions as you type.

Fresh look and feel

This is not simply a new design for new design’s sake; it is about understanding your needs to improve usability. We have done this through website analytics and feedback surveys. The new website features a single site-wide navigation to help you find your way around with ease. We’ve also improved the structure of our content, so you’ll get more from a quick read.

Mobile Responsiveness

The new website is fully responsive and works across mobile, tablets and desktop. Take the EI with you wherever you go!

EI live chat

We have added a live chat to you an instant way of engaging with the EI.

Going forward, we will continue to refine our websites and improve our digital services, so we would love to hear what you think. If you have any feedback, questions or comments, take our short survey.
