After the closure of Barbados’s lone refinery, the Mobil Oil refinery, in 1998, the Barbados National Terminal Compnay was established store and distribute petroleum product utilizing the existing storage facility of the refinery. A new state of the art terminal and pipeline facility was built in 2005 with the additional responsibility for importation, storage and distribution of Jetfuel. It has a total storage capacity of 320,000 bbls with approximately 35 km of pipelines It is one of two oil terminal located on the island
