The event will provide an update on ESOS; to include a review of Phase 1, the financial and environmental value and benefits. There will also be an overview of the requirements in order to comply with Phase 2, followed by a Q&A session.

Mike graduated with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge and joined Shell at the petrochemicals plant in Carrington. After a brief spell doing process improvements and modelling he moved to the Shellstar fertiliser complex at Ince Marshes, Cheshire. After then moving to ICI he set up consultancy Dee Associates and worked with both SMEs and large companies in marketing, strategic planning, funding and energy efficiency. Mike is a Fellow of the Energy Institute, member of RPEC, Fellow of the IChemE, and Certified ISO 50001 Auditor

"The difficult economic situation that we are going through must push loss-adjusting firms, based in Morocco, to open up more internationally. However, gaining the trust of the major players in the insurance industry, particularly in London, Paris or Munich, is not an easy task. "Before the course, I had a little professional experience in domestic zero-carbon energy technology but I was inexperienced in any other theory and practical topic, audits etc. This provided me with the building blocks to understand this, including the calculations, quickly.
