In the past few years, battery energy storage systems (BESS) have made the headlines for being able to support the electricity grid through a number of often competing services - demand side management, frequency regulation, embedded renewable energy whilst also providing site resilience services. However often the business decision for investing in a BESS is based purely on expected revenues that can be achieved.

"Before the course, I had a little professional experience in domestic zero-carbon energy technology but I was inexperienced in any other theory and practical topic, audits etc. This provided me with the building blocks to understand this, including the calculations, quickly.
