Join the Energy Institute (EI) and the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) - Chemical Process Safety Engineers Society to learn from industry leading experts about the EI’s leading work in Process Safety Management (PSM), and particularly the upcoming 2nd edition of the Energy Institute’s PSM Framework.
Organised in collaboration with:
5pm Amman time ; 2pm UK time
As the leading global technical institution for the energy industry, the EI helps energy organisations working in high-hazard environments to operate safely. We develop and provide a structured and comprehensive programme of technical guidance and training in Process Safety Management, helping organisations develop and implement effective ‘on the ground’ PSM measures. Because of our bottom up approach of working in collaboration with practitioners to identify real issues relating directly to front line operations, the EI is able to identify issues which have clear and direct operational relevance.
Our programme is underpinned by the Process Safety Management Framework. This framework has been developed for industry, by industry, and represents a comprehensive and structured approach to managing operational risk, endorsed by the UK Health and Safety Executive.
It is applicable for organisations large and small working across the energy value chain, from petroleum production through to renewable energy generation. It also is applicable to related process industry sectors, such as chemical manufacturing, storage, supply and use. A high hazards organisation can choose to either adopt the PSM framework in its entirety, similar to a de-facto international standard, or implement specific elements which are more in tune with its way of working. EI training and guidance all feeds into the PSM Framework, so organisations can clearly identify how each component fits into the PSM picture and can use it to effectively build their safety case.
This webinar will introduce the EI’s work in Process Safety Management, the support we provide to energy practitioners, as well as providing details of the 2nd edition of the PSM Framework, which is due to be launched shortly.
