The Energy Institute Northern Ireland Branch is pleased to invite you to the Northern Ireland Gas Symposium to debate and understand the best technologies that could help de-carbonise the energy system in Northern Ireland.


The Energy Institute Northern Ireland Branch invite you to their annual symposium “The Gas Industry in 2050 – What Will It Look Like” that will be held on Wednesday 29th January 2025 in Mossley Mill, Newtownabbey.

With the Department for the Economy’s current consultation open for responses on the use of Biofuels Using Biofuels to Transition Away from Fossil Fuels for Heating | Department for the Economy (economy-ni.gov.uk) and the drive to de-fossilise the energy sector to deliver a net-zero economy and meet climate change targets, questions are arising about how this will be achieved. This event will raise many of the important issues about the future of the gas network and also discuss what potential solutions can be delivered.
