Powering the world into the new energy era

With countries facing unprecedented social and economic challenges, what will be the impact on the energy transition in the post-Covid-19 world?

Informa Markets is using its global reach to bring thought leaders and decision makers from across the globe together for an interactive digital week to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the energy and utilities sector.

Energy Institute's webinar:

Energy Management Training on Leadership for Energy Managers
Leadership for Energy Managers (Leader Language, Ethics, Contracts, Innovation)

This webinar will provide an overview of the 'Leadership for Energy Managers' courses of the Energy Institute's 'Advanced Energy Manager' training qualification. It will cover the knowledge, terminology and skills energy managers need to progress into leadership roles such as the roles of a Manager and a Director. It is suitable for professionals with ideally 2+ years’ relevant experience in energy management or a related area. It will support participants to further advance their careers by gaining the skills and knowledge required to function successfully at a senior level. The session will start by providing a 20-30 minute energy management net zero carbon market overview (technology and practices) to set the scene of why we need leadership now more than ever before (i.e. to rise to technological and business challenges). This will then lead onto the leadership course taster for a further 40min time period.

When you attend this webinar/traning session, you will develop an understanding of:
  • The value energy managers can bring to leadership
  • Leader responsibilities (including compliance requirements -financial, organisational, legal, regulatory etc.)
  • Stakeholder management practices
  • How to review a contract and how contracts are agreed
  • How to foster an entrepreneurial spirit within organisations
An energy management net zero carbon market overview will also be provided to set the scene of why leadership is required now more than ever before.
